Another peppering of showers for the eastern seaboard

Bob Neil, Tuesday April 18, 2017 - 13:37 AEST

Showers will again make return to plague the New South Wales and Queensland coast this week, bringing an end to the generally clear and warm Easter weekend.

A broad area of high pressure will direct moist onshore winds towards northern NSW and southern QLD triggering showers along the coast for the next few days. Although rainfall will generally only be light, it's not ideal for the continued cleanup efforts following the recent flooding.

With falls being light and drier conditions recently, showers should not contribute to any further flooding. However, after the brief sunny holiday weekend, expect a return to the damp conditions that have been around for a number of weeks now.

Time to get that umbrella out again!
