Blue skies for Taste of Sydney festival

Drew Casper-Richardson, Sunday March 12, 2017 - 09:50 AEDT

Sydneysiders heading to the final day of the "Taste of Sydney" festival today are in for some cracking weather.

Blue skies have have greeted Sydney on Sunday with ideal conditions for the final day of the annual "Taste of Sydney" festival in Centennial Park. The mercury is set to reach around 28 degrees by mid-afternoon when a northeasterly sea breeze will bring a degree or two of cooling by the time the event finishes at 5pm.

A few clouds may pop up later in the afternoon but luckily no rain is on the cards so the umbrella can safely be left at home.

Even if you aren't heading to the festival it's a great day to get outside and take advantage of the blue skies while they last. From Monday a trough will bring plenty of cloud, showers and possibly even storms to the Harbour City. At least some rain is forecast each day for the next week with Tuesday looking to be wettest day at this stage.
