Chilly weekend for southeast QLD

While the talk is all around snow in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania; what does this cold front mean for Queensland?
Out of this system, areas around Warwick, Inglewood and Stanthorpe may pick up a few showers this afternoon or evening. These showers will be generally light, unfortunately it doesn't look to fall as snow, this time around.
But the cold air will catch up overnight, bringing a chilly start for southern QLD this weekend. Under clear skies, the temperature will plummet with inland parts of the southeast likely for a chilly start. Many places are likely to record five degrees or less on Saturday, with some places also seeing frost as well. Conditions will be only slightly warmer towards the coast, although still remaining in the single digits.
After a cool start, Saturday will hit the low-mid teens inland, and the high teens towards the east. Overnight, when the winds settle even further, the cold will be more apparent over the southeast, with most places (including the coast) likely to drop to seven degrees or less.
While minimum temperatures this low are fairly normal for this time of year, much of the southeast has been running on the hotter end of the scale.
Warmer-than-average mornings this month have been common throughout much of Queensland, especially around the Central West, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Brisbane, with many locations running three-to-four degrees above the long term June average.
Although the spell of cooler weather doesn't look like breaking any records, it will most definitely be a shock to the system. There will be a brief reprieve of a chilly morning on Monday, but there looks to be another burst heading towards the southeast by Tuesday.
