Dangerous surf conditions in NSW

Rob Sharpe, Sunday June 18, 2017 - 13:28 AEST

Communities along the northern NSW coast should anticipate dangerous surf conditions on Monday.

The low pressure system that has been delivering showers to much of the coastline is strengthening as it moves away, leading to a sizeable increase in swell.

Conditions will be dangerous in and near the water from tomorrow as swell reach above 3 metres offshore at times.

Lord Howe Island will bear the brunt of the system, with gales and dangerous surf up to 5 meters expected from later today.
