Over this weekend and into next week Canberra is likely to continue to see some unseasonably warm temperatures.
Hot air drawn down from the northwestern interior, by an inland trough, is responsible for the warm forecast. April so far has been significantly hotter than usual for Canberra, with minimum temperatures up 4.9 degrees on the average, and maximum temperatures already up a whopping 8.2 degrees.
Over the coming days temperatures are set to slightly increase. With maximum temperatures forecast to be around 30 degrees up until Thursday. For comparison, the April average is just 20 degrees.
Come Thursday, a cool change looks to drop temperatures to around the mid 20s. This cool change should also deliver some much needed showers.
