Southwestern parts of Western Australia are experiencing areas of heavy rain.

Bunbury has experienced 21mm to 9am Saturday and Cape Leeuwin has had 19.6mm.
Geraldton has just started to experience these falls with five millimeters falling in just 20 minutes this morning, with more on the way.
This rain is brought by a cold front crossing the region which is also bringing potentially damaging winds. Cape Leeuwin clocked a 82km/h gust late on Friday night, with forecast wind gusts potentially reaching 100km/h today for some parts of the state.
Rain will turn to showers and are likely to continue into Saturday evening. However, less than 10mm is expected on the west coast for the rest of today. Winds are likely to ease by Sunday afternoon for most the southwest corner.
