NSW shakes off the winter blues

Spring weather is expected to be blessing New South Wales in the coming week, however the mornings will still feel distinctly wintery.
For the coming week, much of NSW can be expect warm and dry conditions with cool mornings all around the state from Broken Hill to Tamworth and Bourke to Nowra. Some parts of the southern border region will need an umbrella on Wednesday afternoon as a weak front passes through.
It will be difficult to get out of bed due to the cold mornings in NSW, with minimums looking to hover under 10 degrees. Despite this, daytime temperatures will rise each day till Thursday to a pleasant low-to-mid twenties.
This week will be great weather to head outside, or even to the local pool if the Olympics have inspired you during the past week.
Between Monday to Thursday, it is likely to be the warmest spell for this time of year since 2011 for Sydney and Canberra, giving residents a taste of spring weather.
These cool mornings and warmer days are due to a high pressure ridge sitting over much of the state. With clear night-time skies, mornings will be cooler, but during the day there will be ample sunshine around to hit the warmer temperatures.
Unfortunately the late winter warmth won't last too long. A large and blustery cold front will start to sweep across the southwest of the state on Friday morning, reaching the northeast corner on Saturday. This will bring showers, storms, snow as well as gusty winds to top off an otherwise lovely week.
