Perth's wettest March in seven years

Perth is having its wettest March in seven years after heavy showers soaked the city on Tuesday.
One of the season's first decent cold fronts crossed southwestern Australia on Tuesday, causing widespread showers and blustery winds.
Perth received 19.6mm of rain between midday and 6pm local time, including 12mm in one hour. Further south, Bickley received 26.4mm during the four hours to 7pm on Tuesday, a few hours after clocking a wind gust of 63km/h. This was the heaviest rain in six to seven months at both locations.
As of 7pm WST on Tuesday, Perth's running total for the month had jumped to 28.4mm follwing the latest burst of rain. This is now the city's wettest March since 2013.
