Reprieve from the heat in sight for Adelaide

After days on end of 30 plus degree days, a brief respite is on the way for Adelaide.

The last time Adelaide saw the mercury read anything in the 20's during the day was way back on January 14th. Since then everyday has been at least 30 degrees, with two days over 40 degrees and another one on the way today, marking the end of a 2 week spell of above average temperatures. Another cold front and trough moving across the south of the state is directing further heat towards the region, with temperatures in the low 40's expected today.

Conditions in its wake will be much cooler with the mercury set to read in the high 20's tomorrow as the heat contracts further north. On Tuesday and Wednesday Adelaide will see daytime temperatures not seen since the second weekend of January, dropping well below the January average of 28.5 degrees as significantly colder airmass moves over the region.

For those that prefer the cooler conditions, make the most of the coming couple of days as above average temperatures, creeping into the low 30's, look set to return towards the end of next week.
