SA and VIC cool off

Parts of South Australia have seen temperatures as much as ten degrees above average, but a change is coming.

A gusty cool change moved through western parts of South Australia this morning, after reaching 39 degrees across the Nullabor on Friday, the cool southerlies will keep temperature in the mid-twenties today.

The southerly change reached Cleve, causing a three degree drop in the space of thirty minutes. By the time the change went through Whyalla, the temperature lost three degrees in the space of eight minutes.

The southerlies will reach central parts of SA by mid-day today, and spread east throughout the state during the early afternoon.

Victorians will have to sweat it out a little longer, with the change reaching central districts in the early evening.

Both states will have a substantially cooler Sunday, with daytime temperatures at least eight-to-ten degrees cooler.
