Snow lingering in central NSW

Snow was still visible across parts of central NSW on Tuesday afternoon.

A large area of the Central Tablelands in NSW was covered by snow as of 4pm on Tuesday, two days after it had stopped falling from the sky.

A multi-day spell of wintry weather left more than 20cm of snow on the ground in parts of central NSW by the end of Sunday.

Despite temperatures climbing above 10 degrees at Bathurst Airport on Monday and Tuesday, snow was still present on more elevated areas of the nearby Oberon Plateau during Tuesday afternoon.

Some of this snow is likely to make it into Wednesday, with temperatures forecast to dip to -5°C at Oberon during Tuesday night.

However, mostly clear skies will allow the sun to melt more of what's left on the ground during Wednesday.
