VIC's turn for wet weather

Kim Westcott, Sunday October 14, 2018 - 13:34 AEDT

After several days of settled conditions, Victoria is in for a soggy week.

Western parts of VIC will see rain develop further on Sunday, as a slow-moving low pressure trough approaches. Rain will remain patchy and generally light over the west on Monday, before slowly spreading into central districts as well by Tuesday.

As the low pressure trough deepens, Wednesday could see the the most widespread rain, where most of the state will see at least some rain.

For some, Wednesday's falls will be light, but there are indications of heavier falls for parts of North Central, North East and Northern Country, with some places picking up 25-50 mm in a day. Should rain linger into Thursday, some parts could be in for a second day of heavier rain.

Towards the end of the week, widespread showers will linger across the state, but falls will be generally lighter. Victorians may have to wait a full week until the rain has cleared off entirely.
