Southern parts of South Australia are battling the wind and rain.
A cold front followed by a low pressure system are staging a two-pronged attack on Adelaide, Mount Lofty Ranges, Lower Eyre and Yorke Peninsulas as well as Kangaroo Island and the Mid North.
With a period of an hour between the two systems, the temperature rose quickly before plummeting by around five-to-six degrees as the next round of wind and rain arrived.
Winds have gusted to 111km/h at Neptune Island this morning. Cleve saw an 83km/h gust this afternoon. Both Roseworth and Kadina have had winds reach 74km/h.
The rain has also come thick and fast, with Cape Border recording seven millimeters in ten minutes this morning. Mount Lofty has picked up 16mm since 9am this morning, with eight millimeters recorded in an hour. This comes on top of the 70mm that has already fallen over the past five days, prompting a Flood Watch for the already saturated catchment.
Wet and windy conditions will quickly clear the state in the wake of this system overnight. Saturday is likely to be a calm and sunny and settled day as a high moves in.
Several Warnings have been issued for this system including a Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Winds which may exceed 90km/h and Heavy Rain.
