Fire Weather Warning
for the Darwin and Adelaide River fire forecast area.

Issued at 4:56 am CST on Thursday 22 August 2019.

Weather Situation
A strong high over southern Australia is directing a dry, moderate to fresh and
gusty southeast flow over the northwest Top End. The high will move slowly east
and weaken on Friday.

For the rest of Thursday 22 August:

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire forecast area:
Darwin and Adelaide River

Bushfires NT and NT Fire and Rescue Service advise you to:
- Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
- Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station,
www.securent.nt.gov.au, and www.bom.gov.au.
- Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.
For information on preparing for bushfires go to www.securent.nt.gov.au.

No further warnings will be issued for this event, but the situation will
continue to be monitored and further warnings issued if necessary.
