MINOR FLOODING EASING AT BORROLOOLA
Since 9:00am Sunday, isolated falls of up to 15 mm were recorded across the McArthur catchment. Showers and storms are forecast for the next few days.
Minor flooding is easing along the McArthur River at Borroloola.

McArthur River:
Minor flooding is easing along the McArthur River.

The McArthur River at Borroloola is currently at 9.02 metres and falling, just above the minor flood level (9.00 m).
The McArthur River at Borroloola is expected to fall below the minor flood level (9.00 m) Monday morning.

Flood Safety Advice:
The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises that people should:
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Prepare for flooding and move away while safe to do so.
Don't drive into floodwaters.}

A very wet weekend for southeast Qld, northeast NSW

11:48 AEST A prolonged rainfall event is set to bring large totals to parts of NSW and Qld from Saturday, with possible heavy falls and flooding.  A low-pressure system in the Coral Sea, a deepening coastal trough and persistent easterlies will bring moisture-laden air into southeast Qld and northeast NSW will bring days of rainfall to the region.  While there is not a drop of rain on the radar over southeast Qld and Northeast NSW on Friday morning, the mass of cloud associated with a low in the Coral Sea will enhance rainfall over the weekend.
