FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT CASTERTON
The Glenelg River at Casterton peaked below the minor flood level (3.80 metres) on Wednesday morning. River levels are expected to remain below the minor flood level during Thursday.
In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Thursday, rainfall totals up to 5 mm were observed across the Glenelg River catchment.
The next significant rainfall across the Glenelg River catchment is forecast Thursday afternoon into Friday as a cold front passes across Victoria. River levels remain elevated due to recent rainfall, and renewed river level rises are expected during Friday and into the weekend. This situation will be closely monitored, and warnings will be issued as required.

Flooding is no longer expected along the Glenelg River to Casterton.
The Glenelg River at Casterton peaked below the minor flood level (3.80 metres) on Wednesday morning. The river is currently below the minor flood level at 2.38 metres and steady.

Be aware that in fire affected areas, rainfall run-off into waterways may contain debris such as ash, soil, trees and rocks, and heavy rainfall increases the potential for landslides and debris across roads.}
