HURRICANE FORCE WIND WARNING
Please be aware, wind gusts can be a further of 40 percent stronger than the averages given here, and maximum waves may be upto twice the height.

SITUATION
At 1200 UTC Severe Tropical Cyclone Seroja was centred within 10 nautical miles of latitude twenty eight decimal one south (28.1S) longitude one hundred and fourteen decimal three east (114.3E)
Recent movement : southeast at 29 knots
Maximum winds : 65 knots
Central Pressure: 971 hPa

AREA AFFFECTED
Within 110 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 70 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 50 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 80 nautical miles in NW quadrant.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 65 knots near the centre. Winds above 64 knots within 30 nautical miles of centre in the northeast quadrant. Winds above 48 knots within 60 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 35 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 25 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 40 nautical miles in NW quadrant, with very rough seas and heavy swell. Winds above 34 knots within 110 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 70 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 50 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 80 nautical miles in NW quadrant very rough seas and moderate swell.
