A cold front passing over the Bight from the west is directing thick patches of speckled cloud along the country's southwestern coastlines. A pre frontal trough positioned through eastern South Australia is associated with a band of mid to high level cloud stretching across New South Wales into northern Victoria A deep, complex low pressure system south of the Bight is driving the aforementioned features, as well as patchy cloud over Tasmania. High cloud extends over the Top End from convection further north. Low level cloud associated with southeasterly trade flow is present along much of the Queensland Coast. The remainder of the country is mostly cloud free.
