A vigorous cold front is passing over the border between Western and South Australia, bringing a thick and well defined band of cloud over the region. This cold front is being driven a deep low pressure system to the south, which is in turn sweeping plenty of thick low level cloud through southern parts of Western Australia. A thick band of upper level cloud can be seen spiralling around this low pressure system, clipping parts of the Esperance coast. Some streaky high level cloud streams over central parts of South Australia, the result of a weak disturbance ahead of this cold front. Plenty of thick cloud through all levels of the atmosphere is passing over Tasmania, resulting from an upper level disturbance dragging in plenty of moisture from the Southern Ocean. A strong high pressure system in the Tasman Sea is driving southeasterly trade winds over the country's east, and in turn directing patchy low level cloud into much of eastern Queensland and northeastern New South Wales. Some wispy high level cloud can be seen drifting over the Top End and KImberley Regions, a result of ambient tropical moisture originating from the tropics. The remainder of the country is mostly cloud free.
