A tropical low in the Coral Sea is bringing convective cloud with associated rain to the Queensland north tropical coast. A high pressure system in the Bight is creating moist onshore flow, pushing a blanket of low level cloud onto the southeast of the country. Patchy low level cloud lies over the far southwest of Western Australia due to a high pressure system in the Indian Ocean and a trough passing through the Bight. A cold front approaching Tasmania is bringing low to mid level cloud to the western parts of the state. Much of the rest of the country remains cloud free.
