A cold front and low pressure system moving into the Tasman Sea, is bringing about low to mid level cloud over southeastern Australia. An upper trough and jet stream are responsible for an atmospheric river of high level cloud streaming over much of eastern Queensland. Moist southeasterly trade flow is generating patchy low cloud over the North Tropical and Central coast of Queensland. Upper level cloud is present through southwestern and southern Western Australia, associated with a broad area of low pressure and an upper trough in the Indian Ocean. The remainder of the country is cloud free.
