An extensive upper level cloud band streams from northwestern Western Australia, across South Australia and into eastern New South Wales. An upper level trough is generating mid level cloud with isolated thunderstorms through the South Interior district in Western Australia. A cold front is situated off the central New South Wales coast, generating patchy low to mid level cloud in its wake through southeastern New South Wales. A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over northern and eastern parts of the country, driving some patchy cloud along the eastern seaboard. Low to mid level cloud can be seen over the south west of Western Australia ahead of a cold front. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
