Fire Weather Warning

for Gascoyne, Inland Central West, Pilbara, North Interior and Ninghan fire weather districts

Weather Situation
Very hot conditions will continue over the Pilbara and central parts of Western Australia on Saturday. A persistent trough extends from the Pilbara coast through the Gascoyne and the Interior. Moderate to fresh S to SW winds over the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and western Pilbara, tending SE'ly in the south east and E to NE over the North Interior and eastern Pilbara. Moderate sea breezes along the west coast and the Pilbara, with fresh sea breezes along the Gascoyne coast.

For the rest of Saturday 15 January:
Extreme Fire Danger for the following areas:
West Pilbara Coast, Ashburton Inland and Exmouth Gulf Coast
Severe Fire Danger for the following areas:
Gascoyne, Inland Central West, East Pilbara Coast, East Pilbara Inland, North Interior and Ninghan

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises you to:
Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, www.emergency.wa.gov.au and www.bom.gov.au.
Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.

No further warnings will be issued for this event, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings issued if necessary.
