Scattered showers and thunderstorms developing across most of the state, tending isolated in the southwest and along the North Tropical Coast. Partly cloudy but mostly dry about Cape York Peninsula. Showers tending widespread at times during the morning and afternoon in inland parts of southeastern and central Queensland, as well as the northern interior. Locally heavy falls possible in the southeast. Possible severe thunderstorms in the central interior. Maximum temperatures above average in the far west, near average about Cape York, below average elsewhere.
