Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms south of Kowanyama to Mareeba, tending to only showers over the rest of Far North Queensland. Showers may tend widespread in eastern Queensland between Gympie and Rockhampton. Severe thunderstorms possible inland in central and southern Queensland north of Gatton to Charleville, east of Longreach and south of Proserpine. Partly cloudy in the southern interior south of St George and between Goondiwindi and Thargomindah. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds in South East Queensland turning east to northeasterly in the afternoon, Light to moderate southeast to southwesterly winds across inland southern Queensland, with east to northeasterly winds elsewhere. Maximum temperatures above average about the east coast, tending below average in the southern interior, and near average elsewhere.
