Understanding the Weather

Where do the background maps come from in your charts and how is the data turned into graphics?

The background maps used in our charts show topography of the underlying land mass. These graphics allow you to see how mountain ranges or coastlines may be affecting weather systems. For example, often showers will be restricted to one side of a mountain range only.
