Beach weather makes a return to Sydney

Bob Neil, Sunday May 21, 2017 - 13:02 AEST

After a rather wet and miserable end to the working week with the wettest day in a month for Sydney things look to improve over the coming days. The sun is making a return with mild conditions experienced this weekend expected to continue for a few days as a high pressure system takes over from a low pressure trough.

Temperatures will gradually climb over the next couple of days peaking at about 24 degrees on Wednesday, 4-5 degrees above the average for this time of year. Skies should be mostly clear with plenty of sun and light winds, which combined with the warm temperatures will make for some pleasant late-autumn days.

For those lucky enough to have a day off in the next few days it's the perfect chance to hit the beach.

A cooler change looks to arrive about Thursday bringing temperatures back down to slightly towards average for the end of the week.

Clear skies will remain for a day or so however so grab your sunnies and enjoy!
