Cold front set to impact WA and SA before reaching the east next week

With very little time between recent rainfall events, southwestern parts of Western Australia are feeling the cold and wet from another front this weekend.
The system has already led to 2-5 mm of rainfall for places like Collie East, Witchclife and Cape Leeuwin, where wind gusts of 60-70 km/h have already been recorded. Overall, about 10-15mm is expected across the southwest over the weekend.
A series of cold fronts have clipped the southwest in recent weeks. As we reach the halfway mark of July, so too have many locations in the southwest received at least half of the long-term average monthly rainfall.
The front is expected to cross into South Australia on Sunday, leading predominantly to very gusty conditions along the coast of up to 100km/h. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are also expected over the southern parts.
Although rainfall is set to clear over WA tomorrow, gale and strong wind warnings for both states are likely to remain in place until the end of the weekend.
