Cool relief in the west

Ben Domensino, Friday November 25, 2016 - 16:42 AEDT

Perth's run of warm weather will come to an end this weekend.

The city had its warmest string of days in eight months this week, with the temperature reaching or exceeding 33 degrees since Wednesday.

A pool of hot that has been linger over the Southwest Land Division this week will stick around for the start of the weekend. Perth is forecast to hit 37 degrees on Saturday as northeasterly winds continue to drag interior heat towards the coast.

The hottest days usually come before a cool change though, which rings true this weekend.

Sunday will be about seven degrees cooler that Saturday as a trough moves inland, allowing southwesterly winds to sweep into the region. Monday looks cooler again, with a near-average 27 expected in the city.
