Final Flood Warning For The Greenough River Catchment

MINOR FLOODING HAS NOW EASED AT KARLANEW PEAK
Minor flooding has now eased at Karlanew Peak.
Significant river rises were observed in the Greenough river over the last few days. While rainfall over the catchment has ceased, river levels will remain elevated for sometime as floodwaters move downstream.
No significant rainfall has been recorded since 9:00 am Friday and no significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Greenough River:
No further flooding is expected in the Greenough River.
The Greenough River at Karlanew Peak peaked at 2.66 metres around 04:00 am Sunday 02 April and is currently at 2.17 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Greenough River at Karlanew Peak is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.50 m).

Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}
