Final Flood Warning For The Pilbara Coastal Rivers

FLOODING IS EASING IN THE PILBARA COASTAL RIVERS
Heavy rainfall associated with a tropical low has caused stream level rises, areas of flooding and adverse road conditions in the Pilbara Coastal Rivers. The low has now passed and flooding impacts will gradually ease in the coming days.
In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Thursday, highest rainfall total of 33 mm at 59 Mile Peg have been recorded.
Rainfall is expected to continue easing in the Pilbara Coastal Rivers during the next few days.

Pilbara Coastal Rivers:
Flooding is expected to ease in the Pilbara Coastal Rivers. However areas of flooding may continue to adversely affect road conditions. Roads may become impassable and some communities may become isolated.

Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}
