Daytime temperatures above average across the southern, western, and central areas, tending near average elsewhere. North to northwesterly winds, becoming fresh gusty northwesterly across the south and west during the day, strong on the alpine peaks, ahead of a cool and gusty southwesterly wind change sweeping across the far west later.
