Scattered showers and thunderstorms across the majority of the state, with areas of rain and heavy falls possible in a broad band stretching from the Gulf Country into the northern and central interior, and in eastern Queensland between Bowen and Kingaroy. Partly cloudy in the far southwest. Winds moderate to fresh southerly in southwest Queensland, moderate east to northeasterly elsewhere, tending moderate to fresh north to northwesterly in the Far North. Maximum temperatures below average about the central and northern interior, slightly above average in the far west and southern interior near the border, near average elsewhere.
