Mostly sunny in eastern districts north of Ingham, isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, tending scattered in the afternoon, less likely along the remaining east coast. Possible severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall in the southeast, most likely inland. Light to moderate southeast to southwesterly winds in the southern interior and southwest of the state, fresh at times. Light to moderate southeasterly winds in the far north, and turning north to northwesterly elsewhere. Maximum temperatures near average in the west, above average elsewhere. Severe heatwave conditions in the Peninsula District.
