Queensland local weather

Isolated to scattered showers across much of the state apart from the southeast interior. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the far west tending scattered to widespread across northern and tropical eastern Queensland north of St Lawrence. Locally heavy falls possible in tropical northeastern and northern interior Queensland. Light to moderate northeast to southeasterly winds in much of the state, tending southwest to northwesterly in the tropics. Maximum temperatures near average along the coast and far west, tending below average through the remaining interior and well below average about the Central West.
