Isolated to scattered showers across much of the state, tending widespread with rain at times along the southeast coast during the morning. Showers gradually clearing the southern interior during the day. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms across northern Queensland and the central interior, with locally heavy falls possible. Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds in the south, tending northeast to northwesterly across the tropics. Maximum temperatures near average along the coast and far west, below average elsewhere and tending well below average in the central and southern interior.
