Heavy falls possible about the base of Cape York Peninsula. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds about Far North Queensland, turning south to southeasterly near the southeastern coast and east to southeasterly elsewhere. Maximum temperatures below average about the central and northern interior, above average in the southwest and about the North Tropical Coast, near average elsewhere.
