A high chance of showers and thunderstorms north of Elliott with a slight to medium chance elsewhere north of Tennant Creek and in the far southern Barkly and northeast Simpson Districts. Possible heavy rainfall between Katherine and Elliott. Mostly clear over the remainder. Light to moderate southwest to northwesterly winds over the Top End, tending moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds elsewhere. Winds fresh and gusty in the Barkly and far southeast Simpson Districts during the afternoon.
