Final Flood Warning For The Lower Weir River

Flood Warning Number: 4

NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED AT TALWOOD
No significant rainfall has been recorded since last Thursday across the Weir River catchment. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days. River and creek levels are now generally easing and no further flooding is expected.

Weir River to Giddi Giddi South:
No further flooding is expected in the Weir River to Giddi Giddi South.
Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South:
No further flooding is expected in the Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South.
No observations are available for Talwood (manual gauge). However, based on the upstream automatic gauge, river levels are expected to be well below the minor flood level, and steady.
Small renewed rises along the Weir River at Talwood below the minor flood level are expected during Tuesday and Wednesday as flows from Yarrill Creek make their way into the Weir River. However, the river level is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m) and no further flooding is expected for this event.
