Extensive shower and thunderstorm activity continues over the Northern parts of the continent, due a lingering low pressure system over the Top End embedded in a trough that extends over and off the north Queensland coast. A thick band of cloud flows over the southwestern part of Western Australia with isolated thunderstorm activity driven by a developing upper trough. A high pressure ridge is pushing moist southeasterly flow over the New South Wales and Queensland coast drawing patchy low level cloud onshore. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
