A heat trough extends through Western Australia. Associated thunderstorms can be seen through central parts of Western Australia, with high level cloud in the southern half of the state. A trough through the Northern Territory and Queensland is producing convective cloud and thunderstorm activity along and north of the trough. Low to mid level cloud can be seen over Tasmania and Victoria associated with a cold front. Scattered low level cloud follows behind the cold front. A high pressure system centred in the western Great Australian Bight is directing low to mid level cloud along the southern coastal fringe of Western Australia. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
