How do I find a forecast?

The website provides numerous tools for establishing a weather forecast for your location, from simple pages displaying forecast temperatures and icons to computer model predictions and outlooks for the week ahead.

There are several ways of finding the basic forecast for your town or suburb. From the home page you can either use the forecasts link on the left or simply click your state on the map. Scrolling down on the state forecast pages you will find a selection of major towns and cities. For other towns click a district on the map or its name below the map.

Choose your desired day at the top of the forecast table or click on your town?s name for a detailed 7 day forecast.

Alternatively, to access a local forecast directly you may use the local weather search box on the left hand side of the home page. Type a postcode or town into the box and click ?Go? to see the closest available forecast and current conditions.

Decent rain en route to bone-dry southwest WA

14:29 AEST Welcome rain is coming to the parched southwest WA this week, possibly including Perth and Bunbury which are both having their driest 7 months on record.  Many locations in the southwest will see the driest April on record, with much of this rainfall likely to contribute to May’s totals, as a cold front approaches the state on later in the week.  Rainfall and thunderstorms are forecast in the Gascoyne region on Monday afternoon, before shifting to the Central West, Lower West and Central Wheatbelt regions on Tuesday.
