Isolated showers on the southern ranges and adjacent western slopes. A light dusting of snow above 1000 metres on the southern alpine area in the evening with snow flurries possible to locations above 900 metres. Showers developing along the southern coast during the morning and spreading to the Illawarra, Sydney, Hunter and Mid North Coast in the afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms possible during the late afternoon or evening near the Hunter and Mid North coasts. Dry and partly cloudy elsewhere. Patchy morning fog possible in the east and on the western slopes. Daytime temperatures above average in the northeast, and below average in the southwest. Northeast to northwesterly winds across the northeast quarter ahead of a cooler, south to southwesterly change in the afternoon and evening. South to southwesterly winds becoming fresh to strong and gusty along the coastal fringe in the afternoon and evening.
