Australia Weather

Loading...

Tropical moisture is being dragged southward from a deep low over Central Australia, bringing thick cloud over much of Australia's mainland. A trough extends from the low towards the Western of New South Wales, bringing patchy mid level cloud to the area with embedded thunderstorms. Extensive convective cloud and thunderstorm activity is visible across the tropical north. A trough passing to the south of Western Australia is bringing low level cloud. Low level cloud is crossing the southern seaboard due to a high pressure system in the Tasman Sea. Onshore flow is generating low cloud along the New South Wales and Queensland coast. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
