The combination of a surface trough and an upper level trough is supporting mid to high level cloud with embedded thunderstorms through southern Queensland and eastern New South Wales. A surface low in the Bass Strait and an upper level disturbance is creating a large amount of mid to high level cloud over Victoria and Tasmania. Patchy mid to high level cloud over the South West Land Division in Western Australia is associated with a trough intercepting the southwest of the state. Embedded thunderstorms are seen in the vicinity of the trough. The remainder of the country is mostly cloud free.
