A strong high pressure system centred over the New Zealand is pushing patches of low cloud onto the shore of the eastern seaboard. An atmospheric river of mainly middle and high level thick cloud is flowing over central parts of the Australian continent. Some patches of low level cloud can be seen in the Northern Territory and the Kimberly region of Western Australia. Some remnant low level cloud can be seen in the southern parts of South Australia, becoming thicker towards Victoria. A large mid level cloud band is situated over central New South Wales to Tasmania associated with a trough, is bringing showers and rain to the region. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
