Low to mid evel cloud is present over southwest Western Australia as a cold front approaches from the Indian Ocean. A surface level low sitting over the Spencer Gulf is combining with an upper trough to bring a broad band of thick cloud across northern central Australia, western Queensland, and through the southeast of the country. A second band of low to mid level cloud with widespread embedded thunderstorms is following in its wake. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
