Australia Weather

Loading...

A trough stretches from the northern interior of Western Australia, through southern Northern Territory and northern South Australia, over New South Wales and off the coast of the southeast coast of the state. This feature is bringing high cloud and thunderstorm activity about its northern extent and a patchy band of mid to high level cloud about its southern extent. A cold front is passing through Victoria, moving to the east. In the cold front's wake, low cloud is being drawn over southern and southeastern parts of the country. The southern coast of Western Australia is covered scattered in low cloud, associated with moist onshore flows associated with a high pressure system in the Bight. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
