A broad area of mid to high level cloud is over the eastern half of the continent generated by a mid level disturbance. Low cloud is being pushed onto parts of the east coast by a strong high centred east of Tasmania. A cold front moving over southwestern Western Australia is generating a band of low to mid level cloud in the area. A prefrontal trough is also generating a band of low level cloud stretching from the Pilbara to southwestern South Australia . The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
