Australia Weather

Loading...

Tropical moisture is being dragged south and southeastward from a deep low over Central Australia, bringing thick cloud over much of Australia's mainland. A trough extends from the low towards the southeast of New South Wales, bringing further thick cloud to the area. Extensive convective cloud is visible across the tropical north. A trough located along the central and southwest coast of Western Australia is bringing isolated thunderstorms with mid to low level cloud. Low level cloud is crossing the southern seaboard due to a high pressure system in the Bight. A trough centred just off the coast of southern Queensland, is enhancing low to mid level cloud over southeastern Queensland. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
