A large atmospheric river of cloud flows high over the Northern Territory to the southeast of the country. This is due to an upper trough and cold front slowly pushing eastward across the continent. Widespread low level cloud can be seen pushing inland across the southern seaboard in the wake of this system where a trough moves over southern South Australia. A high in the Tasman extends a ridge up the eastern Queensland, pushing patchy low cloud inshore. Widespread low to mid level cloud is also present across the Top End. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
