A thick band of low to mid level cloud over southeastern parts of the country can be seen wrapping around a low pressure system currently just east of Tasmania. A broad area of low to high level cloud can be seen in western central Australia, with embedded thunderstorms supported by a mid level disturbance. Onshore airstreams are bringing spotty low cloud to the Top End and coastal parts of northern Queensland. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
