Ex-Tropical Cyclone Mitchell is near Carnarvon in Western Australia, bringing a thick spiralling pattern of cloud around the system. IRemnant mid to high level cloud persists over the central parts of Australia, adjacent to a trough spanning from the west to the eastern parts of the country. Isolated thunderstorms also continue along the western part of the trough. Moist onshore flow being driven by a high pressure ridge over the Eastern seaboard is producing spotty low to mid level cloud and the odd shower over much of the Queensland coast. A deck of low level cloud is blankets much of the southeast.
