A trough extending through inland parts of Western Australia has a patchy line of low to mid level cloud with embedded thunderstorms to its west. Some convective cloud is present around coastal parts of the Gulf of Carpentaria and the Top End. A ridge along the eastern Queensland coast is driving thick cloud over the North Tropical Coast. High level cloud is passing over the south east of the country ahead of a trough stretching from south eastern South Australia to East Gippsland. The rest of the country is mostly cloudy free.
