Scattered showers on the far southern slopes and ranges. Isolated showers elsewhere in the southern and central eastern areas. Possible gusty thunderstorms with little rainfall about the southern inland plains and in the central ranges. Dry and partly cloudy elsewhere. Daytime temperatures generally above average, tending well-above average in the north and east, but below average in the southern inland plains. Northeast to northwesterly winds, turning northwest to southwesterly except near the coast, and freshening in Illawarra/Shoalhaven, on the southern, central ranges, and adjacent western slopes, reaching strong to gale-force on the alpine peaks. A fresh and gusty coastal southerly change crossing the south coast later.
