The majority of the country is cloud free under the influence of a large, dominant high pressure system centred in western Victoria. Areas of low cloud can be seen over western Tasmania, southern Victoria and southeastern parts of South Australia. A patchy sheet of mid to upper level cloud lingers over parts of the Southern Interior. A cold front can be seen approaching southwestern parts of Western Australia, with some low to mid level cloud ahead of the main frontal feature. Moist onshore flow is responsible for low level cloud over parts of eastern Queensland.
