An extensive upper level cloud band streams from northwestern Western Australia, across most of South Australia, into Victoria and over New South Wales, and Tasmania. A cold front is situated east of Tasmania. In the wake of it is patchy low level cloud. A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over northern and eastern parts of the country, driving some patchy cloud along the eastern seaboard. Low to mid level cloud can be seen over the south west of Western Australia ahead of a trough. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
